Villagers go for bunting world record

Residents of Morchard Bishop, a village in mid Devon, are hoping to break the world record for the longest amount of bunting.

The bunting will be put up around the village on Friday as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

But the villagers still need to make at least another 0.6 miles of red, white and blue bunting for it beat the current record of just over two miles (3.21km).

Cheddar, in Somerset, is also hoping to break the same record.
